This book narrates the story of Tara, the four-year-old protagonist who travels to the beautiful Sangla Valley in Himachal Pradesh to visit her relatives. Though Tara enjoys her time with her cousins, aunts and uncles, she also explores the valley and learns more about the myths and fairy tales that thrive in the mountains. Tara enjoys her drives through the beautiful Deodar forests and meets good and evil spirits that roam the mountains and live on the Deodar trees.
As Tara learns more about her newfound company, she finds out about the greedy villagers who are cutting down the beautiful Deodar trees and destroying the home of the spirits.
Join Tara as she fights to save the trees and protect nature in the Himalayan mountains. The book also includes an interesting chapter on the Flaich Ukhayang flower festival as well as information on the culture and traditions of the people of Sangla Valley.
